  12. The latest revision to the TrueType font format specifications
  13. is available via anonymous ftp from ftp.uu.net in the 
  14. /vendor/microsoft/TrueType-Info directory.  The file is 
  15. called "ttf_spec.hlp" and, like the previous revision, is a
  16. fully illustrated hypertext-based version of the 400 page spec.
  17. Since this is based upon the Windows help engine, if you have 
  18. Windows 3.1, then you have all of the tools necessary to display 
  19. this document.  The file is 950KB in size.

  21. The only major changes to this spec are the fixing of some typos and
  22. several technical revisions where the illustrations didn't necessarily
  23. match exactly what was happening within the rasterizer.  There are no
  24. new table or structural changes to the font format.  Note that this
  25. is revision 2.00 of the Microsoft spec and does not include any
  26. information about the TrueType GX font format extensions from Apple.
