- I have experimented some, and it seems that I can reproduce this
- problem. This may or may not related to your problem, though.
-
- The Scout+ is factory set to the COM2 serial port. This port uses the
- IRQ3 interrupt and the 02F8 base address. Just inserting it into my test
- machine, an ATT6300, and starting Qmodem and then using AT&F gets the
- modem running.
-
- However, I also have a Mouse Systems serial mouse card and this card can
- be set to a wide variety of interrupts and base addresses. I can set it
- to IRQ3 and the modem works fine (there is no mouse attached). I can
- also set it to any other interrupt without problems. The same with the
- base address. BUT when I select 02F8 on this card, too, the modem seems
- to freeze. No characters are echoed. It acts on dial commands, though
- and I can dial out, connect, but I just dont see anything on the screen.
-
- Again, this may not be your problem, but since I have come across this
- report often enough by now, I thought posting it might help alleviate
- problems.
