  12. You should contact your local telephone company or check the information
  13. section in your phone book.  Usually, there is a series of keys you can
  14. press on your touch-tone keypad to disable call-waiting for a particular
  15. call.  For example, here in my part of Chicago "*70" will disable call
  16. waiting.  I simply configure my communications program to to add this
  17. string to my dialing prefix, e.g. "ATDT*70," and this works fine.  As
  18. soon as I complete the call, call-waiting is automatically re-enabled.
