- You should contact your local telephone company or check the information
- section in your phone book. Usually, there is a series of keys you can
- press on your touch-tone keypad to disable call-waiting for a particular
- call. For example, here in my part of Chicago "*70" will disable call
- waiting. I simply configure my communications program to to add this
- string to my dialing prefix, e.g. "ATDT*70," and this works fine. As
- soon as I complete the call, call-waiting is automatically re-enabled.
