  19. My understanding is that SunOS and Solaris are equivalent. Solaris is a 
  20. SunOs implementation to run on (amongst other things) the Intel 80386 and
  21. 80486 processors. The whole idea being that you can run ANY Sun software
  22. on your 486 PC, including INGRES for SunOS. You might ask the
  23. distributors of Solaris about their compatibility with SunOS. If their
  24. answer is " 100 %" then INGRES should not be a problem.
