  15. in order to develop a database independent application
  16. (one that would run on all DBMS platforms), we could use
  17. any one of the several bridge products that are in the market.

  19. Example: uniface, omnis, jam, focus etc., etc.,
  20.  
  21. but it appears that all or some of them offer APIs that have GUIs
  22. embedded in the database related calls.

  24. meaning, when you use them in your programs, you will have to necessarily 
  25. use their GUI also in your application.

  27. our situation is that we have our own GUI builder product and we
  28. want to use just the bridge APIs that would help us access DBMS,
  29. without the GUI. (pure C APIs which do not have any GUIs).

  31. Is there any such bridge product?
