- hello. i've been developing a custom program to do in-house accouting and
- product invoicing. we have a lot of engineering drawings in pencil format
- that would be an extreme pain to feed into a CAD program manually so i
- got a logitech scanman-32 to do it for me. what i need to "feed out"
- the results of these scanned drawings into hardcopy. i need something
- cheap or preferably free that does the following:
-
- 1- can view .PCX files on a VGA monitor
- 2- can feed a stupid 9-pin dot matrix printer
- 3- can control image contrast and do brightness inversion
- 4- can be passed the filename in command line (VERY IMPORTANT)
- 5- can optionally re-scale images to fit on a page or break an
- image across many pages so it can be pieced together.
-
- the "gray" software that comes with the scanman-32 does almost all of this
- but the miserable thing can't be passed a file from command line! this is
- vital as there is a large indexed database of invoiced work and associated
- engineering drawings and asking "the human" to remember a filename seems
- silly.
-
- thanks in advance
