  13. hello. i've been developing a custom program to do in-house accouting and   
  14. product invoicing. we have a lot of engineering drawings in pencil format
  15. that would be an extreme pain to feed into a CAD program manually so i
  16. got a logitech scanman-32 to do it for me. what i need to "feed out"
  17. the results of these scanned drawings into hardcopy. i need something
  18. cheap or preferably free that does the following:
  19.  
  20.     1- can view .PCX files on a VGA monitor
  21.     2- can feed a stupid 9-pin dot matrix printer
  22.     3- can control image contrast and do brightness inversion
  23.     4- can be passed the filename in command line (VERY IMPORTANT)
  24.     5- can optionally re-scale images to fit on a page or break an
  25.        image across many pages so it can be pieced together.

  27. the "gray" software that comes with the scanman-32 does almost all of this
  28. but the miserable thing can't be passed a file from command line! this is
  29. vital as there is a large indexed database of invoiced work and associated
  30. engineering drawings and asking "the human" to remember a filename seems
  31. silly.
