  10. Just a note on what we have done here over the last few month with our
  11. DOS based waffle system.
  12.  
  13. We currently have several nodes running under Novell Lite, and Waffle
  14. works fine if you follow the DOC's that come with it ie add the entries
  15. to your static file, a static file for each node etc..
  16.  
  17. However I have gone a step further and increased the processing time for 
  18. local logins by installing waffle on each node as well as the main comms
  19. server (this node). This is a simple process and have done the following
  20.

  34.  In the run.bats I have included the line normaly in the autoexec.bat
  35.  set waffle=c:\waffle\static1 (or whatever the node number is).

  37.  In the static files I have pathed then local bar password,news and files
  38.  the server node has the spool dir to itself.

  40.  This also allows you to rename your organ: line to identify the 
  41.  node people are using as well, ie this node says I am on the 
  42.  Cserver (the dedicated uucp node) while the others refer to local
  43.  logins ..

  46.  Not only has this increased the processing time but I have found no
  47.  slow down even at v32bis local and uucp connects. However when I ran
  48.  the same version of waffle with multiple static files I found that the
  49.  uucp connects to me were down by over 200cps because of the network
  50.  delays.
