- Vi is fast and compact. It runs well even across a slow serial connection.
- It's available in some form or other for just about every computer system out
- there. The editing commands behave orthogonally, so there are much fewer to
- remember than with other editors. You don't have to move your hands from
- the proper touch-typing position to use it. You don't have to stress your
- fingers with Alt, Meta, Control and Shift operations.
