  20. batches (16-bit compressed).  This would not seem to support your theory,
  21. at least on my machine.

  23.   Of course, there are so many variables that can come into play with
  24. telecommunications that it might take awhile to isolate what is causing
  25. such low throughputs.  If you have an 80386DX at 25 Mhz or faster running
  26. a single node, you *should* be able to get very close to the throughputs I
  27. get consistantly.

  29.   My system runs two nodes on a 40Mhz 80386DX with 16 Meg of RAM under
  30. OS/2 2.0 with the Service Pack installed using Ray Gwinn's SIO/VSIO
  31. drivers. Waffle 1.65 lives quite happily in a DOS session on node 2.
