- Does Northern Lights BBS support anonymous uucp connections?
- Your sig suggests that it may.
-
- Since getting a V32bis modem, I've discovered that I now prefer
- (normally) to snarf files/pass mail via anonymous uucp or default
- uucp connections. Waffle sysops should give it some thought.
-
- Don't have the delay in delivery of the files nor the pasting the
- uuencoded pieces together then decoding. And long distance is
- surprizingly cheap at the 60% off rate for uucp due to the
- automatated login/tranfer sequences.
-
- I'm currently playing with all the 5 digit long distance service
- company codes to try to find the cheapest rates for various
- locations around the country. Mostly using remote.halcyon's
- anonymous connection as a base. I'll list the findings here as I
- get my monthly telco bills.
