  25. Since getting a V32bis modem, I've discovered that I now prefer
  26. (normally) to snarf files/pass mail via anonymous uucp or default
  27. uucp connections.  Waffle sysops should give it some thought.

  29. Don't have the delay in delivery of the files nor the pasting the
  30. uuencoded pieces together then decoding.  And long distance is
  31. surprizingly cheap at the 60% off rate for uucp due to the
  32. automatated login/tranfer sequences.

  34. I'm currently playing with all the 5 digit long distance service
  35. company codes to try to find the cheapest rates for various
  36. locations around the country.  Mostly using remote.halcyon's
  37. anonymous connection as a base.  I'll list the findings here as I
  38. get my monthly telco bills.
