-
- There are two modes for the number/cursor keys on vt102, both with
- different key bindings.
-
- In VT102.PAD the arrow keys on number pad are "application" keys and
- the separate arrow keys are the real arrow keys.
-
- If TM does not know any difference between the two keypads, I would
- suggest you check out if you have set the enhanced keyboard option (in
- Options/Mouse & Keyboard). TM will not detect enhanced keyboard unless
- you tell it there is one.
-
- If you do not have enhanced keyboard, you can modify your VT102.PAD
- from the macro window or directly with any text editor (like DOS EDIT
- or EDLIN) and make the "up", "down" etc. keys equal the "alt-up",
- "alt-down" etc keys.
-
- Of course, if most vt102 users want the "alt" keys and the normal keys
- switched, Hu could change them. But he will not, if you do not tell
- him to.

-
- VT102.PAD has BS set to BS and VT102DEL.PAD has it set to DEL. You can
- for example make a script named VT102DEL.SCR that has only one line:
-
- LOADPAD "VT102DEL"
-
- and install it in your dialing directory as login script so that it is
- run for every BBS where you want to have the BS set to DEL.

-
- Are there any other problems than the keyboard problems that can be
- fixed with proper setup?
-
- Tell me what is wrong with the implementation of VT102 in Telemate and
- I will tell Winfred Hu to fix it -- he most likely would.
