- It appears from the charter that the .announce group is only for uploads
- to garbo and simtel, or announcements by site sysops. Here's an upload
- announcement for remind 3.00.01 by David F. Skoll. I have seen remarks
- on the msdos groups concerning older versions of this program.
-
- remind is a flexible text-mode reminder program (and calendar program).
- The new features include a postscript calendar option.
-
- This program will be in pub/uploads/ until the site coordinator moves it.
- Note carefully that I use OS/2, and the MSDOS bound versions are the ones
- with filenames *b.exe. Info-Zip unzip 5.0 will be needed to un-archive.
- (unzip 5.0 for MSDOS is available at simtel20.army.mil in pd1:<msdos.zip>.)
-
- I have included formatted man pages for those without access to groff. These
- pages should be read with the "less" pager, available at simtel in
- pd1:<msdos.gnuish>. Or, get groff from garbo, or get cawf, a C version of
- the awf man page formatter, or get groff from ftp-os2 (untested under MSDOS)
- or...
-
- There are also 32-bit versions in the archive. These are untested under
- MSDOS. If you wish to use the 32-bit versions, you must retrieve the
- emxdev.zip package from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in pub/os2/2.0/programming/.
-
- (EMX is a gcc-development package for OS/2 and MSDOS by Eberhard Mattes,
- author of emTeX.)

- Program: remind 3.00.01 by David Skoll
- Description: sophisticated reminder (and calendar) text-mode program
- Source: comp.sources.misc and David Skoll
-
- Proposed directory: os2/all/miscutils/
-
-
- Notes:
- 1. There are OS/2 16-bit, bound OS/2 and MSDOS, and 32-bit emx-compiled
- versions included. The 32-bit versions are untested under MSDOS. The 32-bit
- versions require the emxdev.zip archive from pub/os2/2.0/programming/.
-
- 2. Perhaps a link needs to be created in os2/2.0/miscutils/ since
- OS/2 2.x versions are included.
-
- 3. .01 contains a new postscript-calendar feature. For additional changes,
- see the WHATSNEW file.
