  19. This new version handles the new PKWARE v1.93A, v2.04x, etc. "Deflate"
  20. method of compression.  Still accompanied with full assembly language
  21. source, ZDIR remains the fastest, tightest way to get a fast, brief,
  22. multi-column output (to STDOUT) of a .ZIP archive's comments and
  23. directory.  (Yes, it'll still provide a full "verbose" display if desired,
  24. similar to that provided by "PKUNZIP -v" and several other .ZIP directory
  25. utilities.)

  27. There's a potential filename conflict with the following utility:

  31. Since the Toad Hall ZDIR .ZIP directory utility has seniority on this
  32. newcomer, I have no intentions of changing *this* utility's name.  Smart
  33. users should not confuse any upstart directory shell utilities with the
  34. world-famous, original, genuine, product_of_an_international_effort ZDIR :-)
