- SKYMAP10.ZIP SkyMap v1.0 Windows 3.1 planetarium simulator
-
- SkyMap is a planetarium program for Microsoft Windows 3.1 or later.
- SkyMap will draw a map of the sky seen from any place on Earth for
- any date between 4000BC and 8000AD. Unlike some other programs of its
- type, SkyMap makes no claims for blinding speed; rather, the chief
- objective during development has been precision - all calculations are
- rigorously performed. The planetary positions calculated by SkyMap,
- for example, agree with those published in the "Astronomical Almanac"
- to within half a second of arc. The program includes a complete
- manual in Windows Write format.
-
- This is the first public release of SkyMap and, as such, comment or
- feedback would be welcome. Details of how to contact the author are
- included in the manual.
