- PIPER10.ZIP Plot Piper diagrams using HP-GL/2 commands
-
- Piper is an MS-DOS shareware program that generates HP-GL/2 instructions
- for plotting chemical water data on a Piper diagram. It also computes
- and reports the charge-balance errors. Water analyses exceeding a
- user-specified error tolerance on the electroneutrality condition are
- excluded from the plot.
-
- The user can direct the error report to a printer or to a file. In
- addition, the HP-GL/2 commands can be redirected to a file for
- printing/plotting at a later time or for importing into a print-utility
- or drawing program. A data point can be represented by one of eight
- possible symbols drawn, in the case of a plotter, by one of eight
- possible pens. It can also be labelled with a user-supplied
- identification. Furthermore, the user has the option of (a) toggling the
- legend on and off, (b) displaying one of six pre-defined grid systems,
- (c) representing total dissolved solids by circular areas, and (d)
- plotting the sample mean and standard deviation of the cation and anion
- data, and the average total dissolved solids.
