- I wouldn't say that it's orthogonal. Orthogonal implies not only that one
- could have goals and knowledge without being conscious, but also that one
- could be conscious without having goals and knowledge. Do you assert this
- latter proposition? I think it would describe an intelligence quite
- different from our own, if it were even possible.
