- We think that the lost output problem is resolved. Just 2 days ago Xerox
- applied a patch to our 3.7 Xerox operating system. The patch number is SA960A.
- If you have a 4050 the patch number would be AE960D. Not enough time has
- past since the our patch was applied to be 100% sure the patch will solve
- our problem, but I feel very confident that it will. Xerox was able to
- reproduce the problem before the patch was applied, and apply the patch and
- the problem went away.

- My understanding from Xerox is that there were 4 versions of the patch for
- the 4050 3.5 operating system. The patch numbers are AE960A, B, C, and D,
- with the D version the one you should have on your 3.5 system. Xerox's
- documentation stated that the patch for our 3.7 system was included in
- the release of 3.7. Later it was found that only the AE960A version of the
- patch was included in 3.7. The SA960A patch for the 4850 is equivalent to the
- AE960D for the 4050.

- Dave, some time ago you posted an entry on XEROX-L regarding losing
- JES2 output when you upgraded your JES to V4 R2. We're about to make
- the upgrade ourselves here at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and we
- have a XEROX 4050.

- Just curious, did you ever get to the bottom of that lost output? Was
- it a XEROX problem? Thanks for any info you can give me...I don't
- subscribe to XEROX-L personally; your note was passed by my desk.
