- Dear fellow Brunonians --
-
- I hope I'm not violating some unwritten etiquette by using the Brunonia
- list for a political plea, but this seems rather important. Please
- read it and pass it along the grapevine to any other generally open-
- minded people and/or bulletin boards. Thanks.

- CALL FOR SUPPORT FOR PRES. CLINTON'S PLAN TO LIFT MILITARY GAN BAN:
-
- The Pentagon "brass" and some loud voices in Congress are strongly
- resisting the President's plan to end discrimination against lesbians
- and gays in the armed services. Calls from the public have been
- running *at least* 2 to 1 in favor of *keeping* the ban (can you
- smell the religious right at work??) Please make a call to get it
- across that most Americans will *not* tolerate official bigotry or a
- military establishment that bucks civilian control. Especially
- important to *flood* Colin Powell's office with calls and faxes.
- Call early, call often!
