- Carsten Alexander said he had problems with no WYSIWIG in 5.1 and should
- he get 5.2. I got the 5.2 upgrade in December (U.S. version) and must
- report that in tables (I haven't tried the equations problem that Carsten
- provided) my decimally aligned numbers did not appear the same on the
- Windows screen as they did on the printed page. However, I was more or
- less prepared for that to be the case based on experiences with 5.1 in
- September. Fortunately, using the Print Preview (I put it on the button
- bar because I was using it so often :( ) did allow me to get what I
- wanted. Incidentally, I was using the PrimeType (Type 1 not TrueType)
- printer and screen fonts with 5.2. (In the fall I was using WPWin's
- drivers for the HP LJIII.)
-
- However, there were some other advantages to getting the upgrade, such
- as Grammatik 5.0 with the U.S. version. Curious as to what Grammatik
- would do with its readme file, I checked the file and found that the program
- did not like the use of the numeral 5 (wanted five instead), that it
- found some sentences poorly written, and that there was a typo!
