- While I am highly flattered that my dear friend Giggles would say that a
- SalmonBake without bwp is like breakfast without orange juice, and while I
- might parenthetically add that I wish that *other* people felt that way too
- <grr>, I want to state unequivocally that there will be NO boycotting of any
- Words-L event allowed. Attendance at all gatherings, even ones where the
- participants strip to their nads and run around hugging trees and shrubberies
- while jabbering doggerel to the Earth Mother, is to be strongly encouraged,
- and, in a more passionate moment, I might be so bold as to say, required. The
- Portland venue is not totally without merit, although it is rather remote from
- where many of our members are, and probably presdisposes it to a low turnout. I
- am voicing my opinion only, as is my wont.
-
- It has occurred to me that a sort of global Words-L gathering might be
- strangely MacLuhan-esque and appropriate to the electronic medium. At a given
- time and date, we could all pause and think intensely about other Wordslers. We
- could call it, if nobody objects, MasterBake. Any takers?
