- Not *the* Peggy Noonan? The speechwriter for Presidents Reagan and
- Bush, and author of the infamous "read my lips" speech GHWB gave upon
- accepting the nomination in 1988? If so, tell her I think she's a
- goddess. And that I wish Citizen Bush had had the sense to keep her
- on in his campaign last year. Lord knows he could have used a better
- vehicle for getting his message across, whatever it was.
