- Gilbert's guess is correct as indicated by wombat in another post. Denver
- has never hosted the summer olympics (or the winter I think, but am not
- certain). The summer games at Mexico City in '68 resulted in new world
- records in a slew of track and field events. This in itself is not very
- remarkable, but for the fact that some of the times/distances (long jump,
- for example) were not equalled/bettered for an unusually long time (by
- modern day track and field standards).
