  27.         Bleier -- football player (Notre Dame and Pittsburgh Steelers), now a
  28.                 TV sportscaster here
  29.         Phillips -- NBC news reporter
  30.         Rubble -- daughter of Barney, neighbor of Fred Flintstone on the TV
  31.                 cartoon show 'The Flintstones'
  32.         Rock -- comic actor, co-star on 'Saturday Night Live'
  33.         Squirrel -- star of the great cartoon 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'
  34.         Landis -- first Commissioner of baseball
  35.         Mount -- basketball player (was on the cover of Sports Illustrated
  36.                 while still in high school, later Purdue and a pro)
  37.         Nelson -- marginal baseball player
  38.         Rocco -- marginal actor
  39.         Shales -- TV critic for the LA Times (?) and National Public Radio
  40.         Buchholz -- marginal actor (a 'horst' is a geological formation)
  41.         Silvers -- comedian and actor, most famous as Sgt. Ernie Bilko on TV,
  42.                 also a star of the movies 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to
  43.                 the Forum' and 'It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.' (Silver, of
  44.                 course, is a mineral found in rocks...)
  45.         Raccoon -- title character in a fine Lennon-McCartney song, on the
  46.                 White Album

  48. 19) John MacLaughlin (Neal)
  49.  
  50.         Political pundit of the loud, self-promoting, conservative type.  He is
  51.         very entertaining, and not at all demagogic like the execrable Rush
  52.         Limbaugh and Pat Buchanan.  MacLaughlin runs several
  53.         discussion/commentary shows, mostly on Public Broadcasting.  He was
  54.         once a Catholic priest, but left the Church to marry a former nun.
