- first: The generally accepted academic catchword for the subcontinent now
- is "South Asia". Tushar seems to have accepted the anglicized upper-class
- belief/hope that "We are not Asians, that's all those dirty buggers over there.
- We, on the other hand, play cricket." I've noticed the same problem with people
- from Pittsburgh denying they're from the Midwest. And I don't even want to
- start in on the Russians, who always insist they are European, but never call
- it Western Europe, just Europe.

- second: my Smithsonian account is "wwcem121 at SIVM". You may compare it with
- the post in question. While it is *very* good for telnetting out of, it is
- horrible as far as lists and mail go, and the disk space makes certain gifs
- look like Long Dong Silver.
