  30. How about me, non-Salvadorian.  I'm sitting here at work with a busted
  31. PC.  Smoke began pouring out of it this morning.  The service contract
  32. technicians are supposed to come and fix it...sometime.  Ever try to
  33. get a brand new motherboard (love that term!) for a 286 IBM clone made
  34. by Olivetti and wearing an AT&T deathstar logo?  I have about 80 megs
  35. worth of dead files in there that I'm probably going to lose: thank
  36. God for backups.  MAYBE they can get me a rebuilt board by
  37. cannibalizing another machine, since AT&T no longer supports its own
  38. product line (and didn't when they did).  We've been told that the
  39. entire Division is supposed to get 486 machines from our new captive
  40. company, NCR...sooooooooooon!

  42. In the meantime, in betweentime, maybe somebody wants to donate a nice
  43. 486DX/50 with about 32 meg RAM and a 600 MB hard drive to a nice guy
  44. in the First World who is working in a company that treats him like a
  45. Colonial.  I don't need a monitor, that's okay....
