  19. Ah yes... but on EGA and VGA the video buffer at A000 consists of four memory
  20. planes in parallel. If I could choose which one I am writing too I would solve
  21. the problem!

  23. According to Walton, any cpu read or write to/from the video buffer
  24. automatically results in the graphics controller registers being updated
  25. with the values written/read.  So again, this ain't so quick!

  32. Likewise - a good book but Norton (deliberately?) left out specific video
  33. info since Waltons book came out around the same time and they are personal
  34. friends.

  37. answers seem to be in the IBM tech ref series - but try and find them!
