- Well, yeah, I can see why you'd be touting CorelDRAW, but the guy is asking
- for calligraphy fonts which are preferably public domain, which means he
- really doesn't want to put out several hundred dollars.
-
- I don't recommend public domain fonts, mostly because I've had such terrible
- experience with them. They're usually of very inferior quality. I'd
- recommend you hop on down to your local computer software store and take a
- look at a few of the inexpensive Truetype collections. (Ie. the Microsoft
- Truetype Font Pack, Keyfonts, Typecase, Infinitype, etc. etc. etc.) You can
- get one of those for about thirty bucks or so and most have quite a few
- decent fonts. (Being a Font Junkie, myself, I have Typecase I, Typecase II
- and Keyfonts.) Advantages to these kinds of packages include the fact that
- you don't have to worry about missing characters -- they generally have the
- full ANSI set of characters. Also, they tend to look nicer when you print on
- paper.
