  17. Dear Experts,
  18.      My PC is connnected to a local area network using IBM PC LAN software.
  19. From the network I use IBM 3270 terminal emulation software to connect to
  20. an IBM 9000 series mainframe computer running under CMS. I cannot connect with
  21. either the network or the mainframe (my real interest) without exiting
  22. Windows; very inconvenient. I spoke with support staff and they suggest
  23. a program called EXTRA which costs $300.00! I can't see spending big bucks
  24. just to be able to multitask with the network. Am I out of luck? I await
  25. an onslaught of advice.
