- While it is true that bonus miles (like triple miles promotions) can be
- used at any time the current segment promotions for all airlines except TWA
- DO NOT give you bonus miles. You receive one free round trip in the U.S.
- and maybe the Carribean if you fly eight segments. You must use your free
- ticket between September and December of this year (I assume Thanksgiving
- and Christmas are blacked out). TWA gives 10,000 miles for four segments,
- so it would take eight segments to get a free trip in the U.S. But you can
- add these miles to any miles you already have and go elsewhere. And of
- course you also get the actual miles for your flight. So if you flew to LA
- and stopped over in St. Louis you would get 10,000 bonus miles and about
- 5,000 actual miles. You must make sure you have two different flight
- numbers.
