- I too read something about America West reducing their fares by up to 30%
- through sometime in February. I think the other airlines have decided to
- match only where they are directly competing. I am not sure if the sale
- fares were ever good for travel to Hawaii. I have also heard that
- Northwest has or will eliminate the family/group discounts. It was too
- open for abuse and travel agents did not like it. Every major airline is
- offering segment promotions. TWA's is the best (if they don't go under)
- because they give you bonus miles that can be used at any time, not just
- this fall. Also if you rack up enough miles you can go to Europe.
