  16. I too read something about America West reducing their fares by up to 30%
  17. through sometime in February.  I think the other airlines have decided to
  18. match only where they are directly competing.  I am not sure if the sale
  19. fares were ever good for travel to Hawaii.  I have also heard that
  20. Northwest has or will eliminate the family/group discounts.  It was too
  21. open for abuse and travel agents did not like it.  Every major airline is
  22. offering segment promotions.  TWA's is the best (if they don't go under)
  23. because they give you bonus miles that can be used at any time, not just
  24. this fall.  Also if you rack up enough miles you can go to Europe.
