- Mark,

- I heard Wednesday on the public radio station's travel segment that
- there was a war of sorts regarding frequent flyer bonuses. From what I
- recall between now and April? you can accrue bonuses based on flight
- segments. A trip with a stop-over counts as two segments. You may need
- as little as eight to earn a free ticket redeemable between September and
- just before Christmas. I think American started it and others have followed
- and all have their own requirements. You can call the airlines direct to find
- out the details.
- The only other promo I know of is Northwest's family and group program
- where there is a greater and greater discount for each additional person
- travelling together up to 40% off.
- A good travel agent is your best bet for information, they know
- about promos early on.
