  16.      I heard Wednesday on the public radio station's travel segment that
  17. there was a war of sorts regarding frequent flyer bonuses.  From what I
  18. recall between now and April? you can accrue bonuses based on flight
  19. segments.  A trip with a stop-over counts as two segments.  You may need
  20. as little as eight to earn a free ticket redeemable between September and
  21. just before Christmas.  I think American started it and others have followed
  22. and all have their own requirements.  You can call the airlines direct to find
  23. out the details.
  24.      The only other promo I know of is Northwest's family and group program
  25. where there is a greater and greater discount for each additional person
  26. travelling together up to 40% off.
  27.      A good travel agent is your best bet for information, they know
  28. about promos early on.
