  16. We had an incident in Canada last year where a professor who felt he
  17. was being desperately and woefully wronged by faculty and
  18. administration at his university sent out Please Help! messages to all
  19. sorts of mailing lists, before taking violent actions against the
  20. people in question.

  22. Since the email subject Please Help! might connote such a letter of
  23. desparation, and such letters topics
  24. frighten the daylights out of me,
  25. because of my general response to cries for help, I would like to
  26. suggest that such letter topics be avoided. Besides, a more specific
  27. topic, e.g. Problem with X makes scanning mail much easier.
