  13. I have not tried to "hide" the file in the manner you suggested, but
  14. we are successful when we hide (using Novell's file permissions) the
  15. directory in which files are located.  This prevents browsers (using
  16. File Manager or other means) from finding them, although a reference
  17. to the file (if its location is known) allows it to be seen.
  18. For example: dir ¢Public   shows no files or directories
  19. but        : dir ¢Public¢CanNotC¢Q*.LOG   shows the student log files
