- I have not tried to "hide" the file in the manner you suggested, but
- we are successful when we hide (using Novell's file permissions) the
- directory in which files are located. This prevents browsers (using
- File Manager or other means) from finding them, although a reference
- to the file (if its location is known) allows it to be seen.
- For example: dir ¢Public shows no files or directories
- but : dir ¢Public¢CanNotC¢Q*.LOG shows the student log files
