  12. My fellow recipients of Slovak-L,
  13.         I would like to thank George Frajkor for the information he has
  14. recently supplied, but especially for reminding all of us that whatever are
  15. views and however strongly we fell them does not allow us to be DISRESPECTFUL
  16. of another person and that we should be aware that our views however
  17. passionately felt and believed to be ocrrect can also be viewed by others as
  18. OUR PREJUDICES.  I have been on this listing only s short two weeks and have
  19. enjoyed the "conversations" immensely.  However, I think that a professional,
  20. thinking, scholarly group should be much more tolerant ans sensitive to others.
  21. I recall that the late Pope John XXIII once said that he could not accpet the
  22. ideology of communism but could readily and whole heartily welcome and accept a
  23. communist who is first of all a human being.  Such an attitude inspired Pier
  24. Paolo Pasolini--a convinced Marxist--to produce and direct the film "The Gospel
  25. according to St. Matthew" in honor of John XXIII.
  26.         Again, I thank everyone for making this listing such an intersting
  27. experience.  And please continue the discussion but in a civil and professional
  28. manner.  We will all profit.
