  11. For a richer linguistic input, studying in the target language country
  12. would seem to be superior.  However, language learning is more than
  13. learning language.  I believe that we have to help learners to develop
  14. and expand their knowledge about themselves as learners in general as
  15. a means of increasing their success.  I think language learners are sometimes
  16. seen a piece of velcro...throw as much at them as you can and see what sticks.
  17. Those of us who did learn and become proficient by this method are probably
  18. the exceptions.
