  13. I would suspect the only trouble one would have  in accepting a Gay and Lesbian
  14. club on campus would come from NOT accepting it. I hope that bigotry
  15. would not show its face in the student government of a higher educational insti
  16. tution. In 1987, Associated Students of Arizona State University was sued by th
  17. e Lesbian and Gay Academic Union after the student government which had been ta
  18. ken over by a religious right-wing organization refused to fund the LGAU based
  19. on controversiality. The suit was ruled moot after the student government rea
  20. lized that they were in the wrong, removed the controversialty clause
  21. from the by-laws, and funded LGAU. Please feel free to contact me via E-mail
