  12. A new version of LISTSERV is now in the testing stage.  One of the
  13. new features is the ability to set "topics" in the subject line and
  14. this then is used to determine what you see.  For instance, if
  15. a topic is "SG" and you had set your subscription to SG, you would
  16. only receive only those msgs. that have the SG (for Singapore) in
  17. the subject line.
  18.     Of course, if you change nothing, you won't  see any change at
  19. all--you'll still get all the msgs. and they are all still archived.
  20.     So, the question before SEASIA-L is what topics to use.  Up to
  21. 11 can be specified.  From various comments, it looks like a
  22. geographical division might be best:
  23. HK ID MM MY PH SG TH VN (to include Cambodia and Laos) and SEA
  24. (for general Southeast Asian topics).
  25. If none of the assigned topics was in the subject line, the
  26. msg would be sent to everybody who had set "all" or "other."
  27.     Comments are requested, esp. from librarians and others who
  28. have experience in classifying.
