- Does anyone know the range of allowable Social Security Numbers. I don't
- think numbers like 000-00-0008 or 999-99-9000 are real Social Security
- Numbers, but I'm not sure.

- The SAS format SSN. does not seem to check for validity; I could not get the
- format to set the _error_ variable on the above SSN's.
