- Subject: New for Exporting SAS/GRAPH Output to ALDUS PAGEMAKER for Windows
- Lines: 52
-
- Hi SAS-Lers,
-
- HOT OFF THE PRESSES!!!!!!
- *************************
- The new SAS documentation for "Exporting SAS/GRAPH Output to
- ALDUS PAGEMAKER for Windows" is available by contacting SAS Tech
- Support, and requesting document TS-252F (Version 1.05, January
- 15, 1993). This document contains embedded graphics and
- therefore was not put on FTP.SAS.COM. However, Peter Ruzsa has
- put information for exporting SAS/GRAPH output to other software
- packages on FTP.SAS.COM. The files are located in the
-
- /techsup/download/technote/ts252 directory.
-
- They deal with, among other things, creating file formats for
- SAS/GRAPH, and importing those files to other packages.
-
- The three files are:
-
- 1. readme.txt - table of contents describing the files
-
- 2. exptable.dat - list of products, platforms, files imported and
- addresses of the companies of the products
- 3. expdriv.dat - information on the file formats (and how to
- create), importing files to other software
- packages, and gdevice descriptions for the
- packages.
-
-
- Some simple directions for accessing the files.
- **********************************************
-
- To FTP the files to your computer, at the ready prompt type
-
- ftp FTP.SAS.COM
-
- it will ask you to identify yourself, type "anonymous" and then
- you will need to type in the password. The password is your own email
- address (mine is ubsheff@unc.edu).
- The files are located in the directory
-
- /techsup/download/technote/ts252 .
-
- So type
-
- cd techsup/download/technote/ts252 to move to the directory. Type
- "ls" to view the files in the directory.
- To copy files from SAS type "get filename". Get is the
- command to retrieve "filename" from SAS.COM. You will get a response
- that the transfer was completed.
