  29. If all things are equal, there aren't too many souls outside Redmond, WA
  30. who would tell you to run SAS under Windows if SAS under OS/2 was available
  31. (and none of those folks work in Cary).  It runs much, much faster and a
  32. task gone bad is less likely to take down the rest of your system.

  34. However, all things are almost never equal.  If you:

  36. -  are already heavily into Windows 3.1 applications
  37. -  if you do not have the disk space and memory to run OS/2
  38. -  the drivers you need are not available for OS/2
  39. -  like getting your support from Microsoft
  40. -  SAS is just one of many things you run ...

  42. then you might prefer SAS for Windows.  I am running the Developer's
  43. Release 6.08 of SAS for Windows now but when OS/2 handles my Windows 3.1,
  44. applications satisfactorily, I'll be looking to switch.
