  18. I think there are many on-the-fly decisions made based on xy graphs.
  19. These are a few examples which I imagined.

  21. 1)  Real-time analysts of satellite data.
  22. 2)  Nurses/Doctors/Paramedics reading charts measuring EKG, EEG,
  23.     and many other vital "bio-funtions".
  24. 3)  Seismologists during earthquakes.
