- really wouldn't matter even if we were caught off guard.

- As I said, I don't think that there is much reason to have a massive
- military unless there is the possibility of an invasion of US territory
- proper. I simply don't see this as a real threat in any fashion.

- I might add that I use the term "massive" because of the amount of
- defense spending our country has. Given the geopolitical world since
- the end of the Cold War, I find that it is unwarranted.
