  23.      People join the military for any number of reasons. I would guess
  24.      that the last reason people join the military for is to kill
  25.      and maim and break people and things.  I would also assert that
  26.       people join the military to gain a heightened sense of committment,
  27.       and honor to oneself, and country. How can a heterosexual man
  28.       be any more committed to himself, and his country, than a woman,
  29.       or a gay man?

  31.       Kerry then goes on to be so worried about the safety of
  32.       these "sodomites" (hey, isn't that a mineral?):

  47.       Soooooo.....maybe Jews shouldn't be allowed to join the military
  48.       either then.  Don't want them to fall into the hands of
  49.       the arabs, do we?  oh, and maybe we shouldn't allow Catholics
  50.       to join the military either...You know how some of those Irish
  51.       protestants feel about catholics...and while we're at it, i don't
  52.       folks of german descent shouldn't be in either, i mean, we are
  53.      allies with Israel and all.

  64.       They take that chance. Don't cloak your own insecurities about
  65.       other people's differences in concern. It doesn't become you.

  72. join the armed forces do it because they have "self esteem problems".
