- You've hit the problem right on the head! Reagan & Bush appointed relatively
- young and relatively conservative (for the most part) justices. Unfortunately,
- we'll have to wait until they retire or keel over before new ones can get
- appointed. That was my point. What can we expect Clinton to do in four years
- (even federal Judgeships don't turn over that quickly)? These judges and
- justices are entrenched conservatives that will leave their positions only when
- they're damn ready to do so. As the recent ruling in favor of the pro choice
- demonstrators points out, the President can set any agenda he wants, but the
- courts can fight him all the way.
