  16. oversee the INS.

  18. Maybe it does have some relevance to the
  19. position to which she was nominated.  And
  20. maybe the continued questioning was supposed
  21. to get her to withdraw her nomination, since
  22. she demonstrated a premeditated disregard for
  23. the laws the position would require her to
  24. uphold.
