  12. 1: I'd like to thank you all who have replied my desperate message for
  13.    some information on the resolution upgrade laser boards. Also valuable
  14.    was the explanation on some of the technical aspects. I had already
  15.    received some E_Mail from Monte Olsen in which he had told me to be
  16.    aware of the fact the some boards don't provide "true" 600 or 800
  17.    dpi output but only simulate this effect by using a techinique I didn't
  18.    understand very well from his explanation. Sorry Monte. Is the improving
  19.    effect of these "false" 600 dpi boards the same as the famous "Resolution
  20.    Enhancement" provided by the HP series?

  22. 2: A couple of years ago there was a list named LASER-L. Does anybody know
  23.    whether or not it is still active? (and where?).

  26. 3: At last I got some time to download and read (with great pleasure) the
  27.    complete Pagemaker FAQ and its associated files. I couldn't make out how
  28.    important were the presences of Monte and Jeff Bone to all of us, sub-
  29.    scribers of PAGEMAKR-L. The Scanner tips is a real professional piece,
  30.    very well written and usefull. Congratulations.

  33. 4: Finally I found very funny a tiny mistake which was made about my
  34.    nickname which I came across when reading the WHO'S WHO document:
  35.    Yes, I understand my nickname will sound a female nick to an english
  36.    speaking conscience; but it really sounds a male one to a latin ear
  37.    (maybe because you'll probably put the stress in the first syllab
  38.    making it sound like "Maureen", "Mary" or other english female name,
  39.    The correct pronounce stresses the last part of the word: "Mau-ree"
  40.    So, I'm really a guy, not a gal.
