  11. Sorry for sending this note again.  The first time I used the wrong
  12. network mailer address.

  14. Just to let everybody know... there is a problem with Dewey call number
  15. indexing.
  16. One of our libraries reported that the call number error report was not
  17. showing errors when a Dewey call number starts with letter.  Searching
  18. our system I found many call numbers coded as Dewey and indexed under
  19. Dewey but starting with alpha characters.
  20. NOTIS Inc. was able to duplicate the problem (PPR0043).
  21. We are a MVS shop with LMS 5.02, but NOTIS informed me that the problem
  22. also exists under LMS 5.1.  They are working on a fix.
  23. Just when we thought we had the call number index cleaned up....
