  13. I am considering sponsoring a full day CE workshop, probably in Syracuse,
  14. entitled "Improving Your Teaching Skills: Using Active Learning Techniques."
  15. This was presented by Trish Ridgeway last November under the sponsorship of
  16. SUNY Buffalo, and 100 people attended.  This seems to indicate a great interest
  17. in the library community for this type of course.  While it is certainly
  18. relevant to medical librarians it may also be of interest to academics.

  20. The course and instructor were very well received.  If offered, the course
  21. would be in the late Spring or Summer of 1993, under UNYOC sponsorship. If you
  22. would be interested in attending, please email me (not the listserv) so
  23. that I can assess the amount of interest.  The CE would be offered on a cost
  24. recovery basis so adequate attendance is necessary. Of course the availability
  25. of the instructor is another factor.
