- To Whom It May Concern:
- The Institute of Medicine report, entitled "The
- Computer-Based Patient Record: An Essential Technology for
- Health Care" is available through the National Academy Press
- in Washington, DC. Mailing address is 2101 Constitution
- Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20418; toll-free number outside
- the DC metro area is 1-800-624-6242. The other book to
- which Ione Auston refers was a compilation of background
- papers, chiefly on technical matters, done for the IOM
- study. It, however, has been published under the editorship
- of Marion Ball and Morris Collen by Springer-Verlag in a
- series they do on medical informatics. I agree with the
- suggestion about contacting the CPR Institute via AHIMA.
