- This is a "when all else fails" request for help.
-
- Between 12 and 15 years ago, there was a public radio broadcast of a drama
- involving medical ethics. A faculty member here would like to track down
- a recording, since he is putting together a course on "Medicine in
- Society." There used to be a copy at the University of Pennsylvania
- when he was there, but they have since discarded it.
-
- The title is something like "When the time comes." The scenario is a
- a terminally ill man and his wife discussing his wish to make the end
- of his life a happy one. He wants them to head off to an island that
- was a place they were happy once before, and fo rher to help him
- commit suicide.
-
- I have drawn a blank so far, checking OCLC, trying the public radio
- archives, and asking someone at HESCA. Of course I searched AVLINE at
- NLM and the commercial AV-LINE.
-
- Does this ring a bell with anyone out there? The faculty member
- thinks that the story may also have been turned into a play or video,
- but I can't locate anything with the title.
-
- Thanks for any pointers.
